Last summer, Borussia Dortmund insisted on asking a high price for Jadon Sancho, who Manchester United failed to meet because they knew the price was too high.

Now in the transfer market this summer, Borussia Dortmund are finally willing to lower their transfer price request for Jadon Sancho, but they are still demanding a high fee, and it turns out that the reason has now been revealed.

The Bundesliga seems to have to pay a deposit to the English winger’s old club, Manchester City if they manage to sell Manchester United’s main target.

So Manchester City will apparently be happy if their city rivals Manchester United manage to get Jadon Sancho because they will get a windfall, although on the other hand their competitors will be getting stronger for the title next season.

It was previously reported via this website that transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is working on a transfer deal for old target Jadon Sancho as the Norwegian boss looks to strengthen his side’s right-wing attacking options and is ready to challenge for the title next season.

This player managed to score 16 goals and 20 assists in all competitions. Jadon Sancho joined the Citizens from Watford in 2015 and spent two years at the Etihad before moving to Germany at the age of 17 uncertain about his prospects for first-team play under Pep Guardiola.

In the transfer deal that brought the England winger to Dortmund, Manchester City included a sale clause that guaranteed them to be paid 15 per cent of the proceeds from the sale of their former player in the future.

Reports from the Manchester Evening News suggest that so far there has been no official offer from Manchester United to Borussia Dortmund, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hopes that the transfer can be completed as soon as possible, before the start of Euro 2020.
