As reported by the media in England, reportedly David Moyes is interested in bringing in Tammy Abraham from the West London football club in the transfer market this summer. This is in order to strengthen West Ham United’s front lines.
The lack of time playing in the Chelsea first team was said to make it easier for the club nicknamed The Hammers to bring him to the London Stadium. However, the Blue is reportedly not going to be off at a cheap price for Tammy Abraham. Reportedly, the player was valued at 40 million pounds.
Despite continuing to be linked with Tammy Abraham ahead of the summer transfer window, David Moyes insisted that they would not pursue the football player who was born in the city of London.
Speaking to the media crew, the coach who once worked with Everton said West Ham United would completely ignore him especially if they demanded a high price.
According to David Moyes, the club’s decision not to pursue the player’s signature. The reason is, West Ham do not have large funds to buy a striker at that price. For him, buying only one player for a price of up to 40 million Pounds was not his priority.
It should be noted, the London football club only has one pure striker, namely Michail Antonio and now the player has an injury.
As a result, David Moyes put Jesse Lingard and Jarrod Bowen on the front lines in the last three Premier League matches.
David Moyes Called Declan Rice an Expensive Player
West Ham United coach David Moyes said Declan Rice did not deserve to be sold at a cheap price in the transfer market.
Declan Rice is actually Chelsea’s academy player, but the Premier League top club ignored him by letting him go to West Ham United in 2014 when he was 14 years old.
Joining West Ham United made Declan Rice’s appearance even increase. In fact, his performance was even more prominent when the player was handled by David Moyes and made Chelsea last season when coached by Frank Lampard interested in returning him to Stamford Bridge.
However, in the end Declan Rice was successfully defended at the London Stadium and this season he has had a big influence on West Ham United’s game. Evidently, through his contribution as a defensive midfielder, he managed to bring the club nicknamed The Hammers to compete in the top flight of the Premier League.
With his good performance in midfield, David Moyes thinks the player’s price should be more than £ 100 million.
Speaking to reporters, the former Everton coach said he did not agree with the price. He explained that the club owner considered his player to have a selling value of just 100 million pounds.
However, David Moyes disagrees. According to him, every club that wants to bring in Declan Rice must prepare more than 100 million Pounds. On the other hand, he also teased the players who were carried off by Premier League clubs in the transfer market for exorbitant prices but were unable to give the influence like a key player.
For information, Declan Rice has played in 26 matches scoring 1 goal and 1 assist in the Premier League. Apart from being able to play as a defensive midfielder, he is also able to be positioned as a central defender.
However, David Moyes prefers to play as a defensive midfielder this season and always played for 90 minutes in each game.
